The Pine Hills Men's Club Founders Cup
Is A Season-Long Tournament To Honor Our Founders

The Founders Cup is dedicated to remembering the men who founded The Pine Hills Men's Club back in 1988, and is designed to be a season-long tournament where points are awarded each week for consistently good play relative to your own handicap and other members in your flight.

• Cash Prizes will be announced for the Top Four Places
• All members are entered automatically with no registration fee required, however new members without an established handicap will only receive 10 points for participation until their handicap is determined.
• Points will be awarded each and every week in 3 flights in Stroke Play (Low Net) Format (regardless of the format we are playing that week.)
• The tournament will run from April 2nd thru October 15th.
• Points are awarded for top 5 places in each flight, each week (100, 60, 40, 30, 20 points)
• All non-winning participants each week will receive 10 points
• As in all other tournaments, players who are forced to take an X on a hole are disqualified for that week, and will be awarded only 10 points for participation.
• Ties for top 5 positions each week are decided in the normal fashion by best back 9 holes, then last 6, last 3, last 1 hole.  If still tied, points will be split.
• Weekly points are added up after play on October 15th, and the top four points leaders will play off on October 22nd, 2011. (Rain Date is Oct 29th, 2011)
• In the unlikely event of a tie for the final four positions, the higher position will be awarded to the better points from October 15th.  If still tied, we will look back to previous weeks (Oct 8th, etc) until the tie is resolved.
• Accumulated points are then discarded, and the final four players will playoff head-to-head in Stroke Play (Low Net) for the four prizes.
• In the event of a tie for positions in the Final Four Playoff, Sudden Death Elimination will commence immediately on the 1st hole, with the better net score receiving the higher position. Sudden Death will continue until all ties for positions have been resolved.
• Players in the Final Four Playoff are ineligible to win in the normal tournament being played on the day of the playoff.

The 2011 Founders Cup Tournament begins on April 2nd, 2011 and runs through October 15th, 2011. All members are eligible once they have an established handicap and there is no registration fee to participate.
